What Anti-Aging Products Should I Use?

Sort by

Trying to determine which anti-aging products to use can be confusing. With so much information – and disinformation – out there, it is difficult to know what you should be using. The fact of the matter is that not all products are used to treat the same skin condition and each is engineered for achieving different results. People who are on the lookout for the best wrinkle cream on the market often end up buying product after product because they purchase creams and serums that are not made for the wrinkles they are trying to eliminate. Certain ingredients are used to fight different problems such as crow’s feet, brown spots, hand and face wrinkles and even old scars and bruises.

In order to determine what products you should use, you need to ask yourself two questions:

  • What skin issue are you trying to resolve?
  • What realistic result are you looking for?

Again, different products are used to address different problems and the ingredients used along with the percentages of active ingredients will absolutely affect your results. As for results, it is important to understand that you should simply be looking for measured “improvements” in your appearance over time. Consistent use of the products is key to achieving the best results. You should also be realistic with yourself in that any product on the market today is not going to have you looking 25 years younger. If a brand or a company makes that claim, run the other way. You would be buying snake oil and nothing less. But if you are disciplined enough to stay with a regime or product over a period of a few weeks to a few months, you will see marked improvement in your skin’s appearance. Fine lines and wrinkles will diminish and skin will become smoother. Brown spots may also be minimized and in some cases disappear. Scars and bruises also can significantly be reduced and minimized. J. Paul’s anti-aging products work excellent on bruises and cuts.

Which J. Paul Product do I Use?

Here is a list of our three J. Paul anti-aging products and which common skin problems they treat best:

J. Paul’s Revitalize Eye Serum
Helps with Crow’s Feet, Dark Circles and Eye Puffiness

One of the most common types of wrinkle is crow’s feet, which appear at the corners of your eyes. The depth of these wrinkles may also vary depending on age, the condition of your skin, and how often the skin is exposed to the sun without protection. The best anti wrinkle creams to combat these types of wrinkles are ones that contains peptides. These peptides, which contain long chains of amino acids, are absorbed by the skin and help to repair and boost collagen regrowth, which in turn firms the skin. Remember that the best topical products for crow’s feet will probably contain a number of peptide combinations, with palmitoyl pentapeptide being the most common. J. Paul uses a combination of Peptide 7, palmitoyl peptides AND PT3 amino acids to create an extremely effective eye cream for combatting crow’s feet. Revitalize Serum also uses a high concentration of glycerin which is a humectant, which helps to greatly moisturize the skin.

To reduce dark circles and puffiness around the eyes, J. Paul’s serum uses Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract which is used to brighten the skin. The use of Hyarulonic Acid aids in adding firmness to the skin and reducing puffiness. Overall, dark circles become hard to avoid as we age and genetics is many times the culprit in producing purple or red skin tone. What you’re seeing are visible blood vessels and as your skin ages, it becomes thinner, making blood vessels more visible. J. Paul’s eye serum will help combat dark circles and reduce puffiness.

Overnight Recovery Cream
Helps with Forehead Wrinkles, Neck Wrinkles, Scars, Bruises and Abrasions

Our overnight recovery cream uses 5 percent amino acids, which is the most allowed by law without a prescription. Essentially, it contains the highest concentration of amino acids which will be the most effective on deeper wrinkles such as those found on the forehead and other fine wrinkles on your face. Overnight Recovery Cream also contains a high mixture of peptides and collagen stimulants which are excellent at combatting tougher wrinkles. While most collagen contained in anti-wrinkle products on the market can’t penetrate the skin at deeper levels, collagen stimulating ingredients can help your body build more collagen naturally.

Overnight Recovery Cream also uses a high concentration of Retinyl Palmitate, which is essentially    Retinol and Vitamin A. Retinol has been proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by boosting cell turnover, allowing the skin to shed cells faster and reveal new growth underneath. New skin cells also contain new, healthy collagen fibers, which helps to tighten skin. Retinol has become the “gold standard” for topical anti-aging use according to the authors of a research review paper in 2003 published by the Drugs in Dermatology. Overnight Recovery Creams works best at night so the retinol has time to be absorbed by the skin and so you do not experience sun sensitivity, which can be a side effect for some. The use of retinol also works well for decreasing neck lines which tend to be tougher to reduce.

Finally, Overnight Recovery Cream works very well for bruises, abrasions, cuts and old scars. Our use of Retinyl Palmitate, Vitamin C, Peptides and Glycolic Acids are effective in healing bruises. The thing to keep in mind is that as our skin ages, it gets more fragile and tends to become thinner. The trick is to increase collagen production to help thicken the skin and anti-aging creams help to some degree if used over time. Thicker skin with more collagen doesn’t tear as easily, and increasing collagen around the fragile blood vessels makes them more resistant to bruising. You will be amazed at how fast some ordinary abrasions begin to clear up. Overnight Recovery Cream also works well on improving old scars by softening, flattening and reducing redness. Generally you can start to see improvements within a week.

Daily Defense Cream
Helps with

Our Daily Defense Cream should be used to not only hydrate and moisturize the face, but it should also be used to address face wrinkles, brown spots, and neck wrinkles. This cream has a lower concentration of amino acids so that it can be used during the day and is much less sensitive to sunlight. It also has a lower concentration of certain peptides and mixtures of Vitamin A, C and E. Daily Defense Cream also utilizes PT3 which is a revolutionary bioactive complex that reduces protein oxidation while stimulating protein repairing enzymes. When combined with amino acids and vitamins, it is a great cream for moisturizing the skin on a daily basis. Daily Defense Cream should be used every day as part of your skincare regimen.
